Small rules updates

Hey swimsuit fans! Just made some small updates to the rules to clarify a few points!

I've updated the rules to be much clearer with proper descriptions so it’s easier to report posts.

  • A while back we had quite a few posts from brands, and we did a quick poll to see what people thought and most people didn’t mind them. So just made a small change to “no watermarks” to be “without a prominent watermark”, to allow for some brands where a brand name is included.
  • In this world of photoshopping, we’ve amended the rule to “heavily edited” rather than “edited”, to allow for touching up.
  • Adjust the wording of consent to clarify the recent number of photos published of college teams. Photos must be in the public domain. If the photos appear to have been taken from a private album, that’s not consent as the people in the photos did not consent for them to be allowed into the public domain. But if the photos are on Instagram or the college’s website etc, then that’s obviously fine.
  • We get quite a few reports about ‘no models or studio environments’. Understand the confusion here, that rule was designed to prevent ‘glamour’ models et al. So instead the rule now reads “Must be within a swimming context” to allow for studio photography within the context of swimming, such as swimwear or a team. Have also added a “Subject should be connected to swimming” rule to clear up and additional contexts if required.

Hopefully this clears up any vague areas! Happy to hear your thoughts and questions here, or by sending a message or chat.

PS We passed 20,000 swimming fans recently, so welcome to all the new people!
